Deng YapingDeng Ya Ping was born in a family of table tennis, and her father, Deng Dasong, was a table tennis team in Henan province. Since Deng Ya Ping was two years old, his father often put Deng Ya Ping on his bicycle and took Deng Ya Ping to the workers' club to watch them play.
Deng Ya Ping followed his father to learn to play table tennis at the age of 5, his father gave her a different set of training methods. To start, Deng Ya Ping is holding the shake hands grip, because Deng Ya Ping long, slow, short arms, second years would let her play beat Xuan. After two years of training, coach Deng Ya Ping is full of forehand attack. This special training method is not found in all the table tennis textbooks. Deng Ya Ping was especially serious when he was a child. Encountered many difficulties on the road to the growth of Deng Ya Ping. But she overcome and became the best player all over the world. After retiring at the end of the 1997 season, Deng served on the International Olympic Committee's ethics and athletes commissions. She is also a member of the elite Laureus World Sports Academy, and a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. She gained a bachelor's degree from Tsinghua University, a degree from the University of Nottingham, and as of March 2006, was continuing to study for a PhD. in Land Economy at the University of Cambridge (Jesus College). Her research work coincides with her professional focus on the marketing, management and development of the 2008 Beijing Olympics as a member of the Beijing Organizing Committee. In 2007, she married Lin Zhigang, also a table tennis player, and later gave birth to a baby boy. In 2008, she received a PhD degree from Cambridge.
